Are you considering living on campus? Check out a Living and Learning Community (LLC). It is a place where you can live with peers with the same interests as yours. They offer over 30 interest-specific LLCs, and you get to choose which community fits you the most. Almost all residence halls have their own LLC. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior, you can still live in a LLC. LLCs will give you that sense of belonging, and I'm sure you will make the most of your college year!!
If you are considering living in a Living and Learning Community, please keep an eye on deadlines, because each program in LLC has a limit number of participants. The earlier you apply, the bigger chance you'll have to live in the community that you're interested in.
Application for Fall 2016-Spring 2017 has already opened from November 24, 2015. For LLC, I highly recommend you to apply before March 1, 2016. If you are a first year student, May 1, 2016 will be the last day to apply for housing. There will be a $25 nonrefundable application fee and $200 guarantee payment to receive a housing assignment. Guarantee payment must be paid online by May 15, 2016, otherwise your application contract will be cancelled. By July 31, 2016, you will get an assignment notification email; housing details as well as your roommate(s) contact information (YAY!). If you change your mind, cancellation deadline for incoming first-year students is August 1, 2016, and you'll get your $200 back. If you don't cancel your contract, great! You'll be moving in to your assigned hall on August 29-August 30, 2016 for first year student, and September 3, 2016 for non first year student.
