Thanksgiving Trip to Colorado

Ah! It’s that time of the year again, when all of the US awaits for the Black Friday deals, tons of stuffing and turkey, and a break from school, work and other duties. It’s been two years since I arrived to the United States and I remember so vividly going to my roommate’s house and spending time with her family for Thanksgiving. What a great experience! But this time I wanted to do something different, so I decided to travel to Colorado for my Thanksgiving Break.

People were extremely nice just like the weather. It was exceptionally warm and the nature got me feeling so fine. The breath-taking mountains, the picturesque places and the fresh air really got me in love with Colorado. If you’re an international student like me, you should do the same and travel. You don’t necessarily have to go to Colorado, but go somewhere! All of us want to spend time with our families, but when we don’t have that opportunity, we should use the fact that we’re international and travel to places. I’m not saying that you should spend tons of money on traveling, because I know that traveling is pricy, but at least, spend this time with your friends.

I traveled with my friends and co-workers, and I’m so glad I did, because traveling with friends is more interesting and fun! Especially, if you’re traveling with someone, it can get cheaper too, like the food you’re buying, the place you’re staying at, and the car, if you’re renting one.

Sales can wait, but your youth and opportunities won’t. Remember that you have limited time and resources, so use this as an excuse to travel and make the most out of your college experience, because at the end of the day your memories are worth it!
