Undergraduate Admissions

The University of Minnesota accepts undergraduate applications from students in two categories:

Freshman

Students who have not previously enrolled in a university or college are considered a freshman student. Students who have completed AP, IB, or A-level coursework for which they may receive college credit are still considered a freshman provided they have not yet enrolled directly in a university.

Transfer

Students who have previously enrolled in a university or college are considered transfer students. Generally, transfer students must have a minimum of 26 credits to apply (the equivalent of one year of study). If you are transfering from another university in the USA, you can view how your courses will transfer on Transferology.
